Murano Glass Tumbler, Orange

This colourful Murano glass tumbler will add a welcome pop of colour to your dinner table. Handmade in Italy, it’s ideal for serving water, freshly squeezed juice or a sparkling cocktail. The tumbler features a bold textured pattern in a warm shade of sunset orange.

Mix and match with other unique pieces from ourĀ glassware collection.

As these are all handmade by artisans, each piece is one of a kind and there will be slight variations in colour.

What is Murano glass?

Murano glass is produced on a small island in the Venetian Lagoon using techniques that are over 1000 years old. It is a painstaking process during which a mixture of silica sand, potassium, soda and lime is melted at 1500 degrees. Once it has cooled to 800 degrees and thickened in consistency, it is mouth-blown into shape by the local glass masters. Minerals are added to the glass mixture to create the bold colours and elaborate designs Murano is famous for. Known as ā€˜art glass’, Murano glass comes in many forms, including tableware, figurines, jewellery and chandeliers.
